As part of Black History Month, one of the things our team elected to do to celebrate the month was supporting local Black-owned businesses. We took a trip out to Mauldin’s Low Country Shrimper earlier this month. This past Friday, we ventured over to West Greenville’s M & J’s Wings & Plenty. And while we cannot get a physician to go on record officially, it was exactly what the doctor ordered.

M & J’s is another gem that everyone in Greenville needs to try. We had an assortment of wings, fried okra, fries, collards, and mac n cheese. Everything was fantastic.

Owner Regina McCoy grew up in Greenville. She was a star basketball player at JL Mann and then went on to play at Anderson University. According to this 2020 story from the Greenville News, Regina started cooking for teammates at Anderson University and hasn’t stopped since.

M & J’s doesn’t have seating in the restaurant, so you’ll want to call in an order ahead of time for pick up. Trust us when we say it’s worth it.
